Learning for Families

Welcome to FACE University! This website offers resources where DPS community and families are able to access parent and family tips, tools, webinars, and trainings to support, advocate, and engage your students from a click away!

The website will have up to date information on resources and supports for all families throughout the year. Through this site, you can learn how to join our Family Leadership Institute (read below for more information), learn more about technology use, and so much more all located within the FACE University. We understand that life is very busy for all of us, which is why all trainings are recorded and closed captioned in Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, French, Mandarin, Nepali, Somali, and Vietnamese. Families will be able to access trainings at your own convenience.

This website is a tool built for you as a family or community member! Please reach out to me at jasmine_rigby@dpsk12.net if you have any questions or suggestions on what else should be included on this website.

Title I Family Engagement

Title I is a part of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which provides financial assistance to local educational agencies and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. All Title I schools are required to spend part of their federal funds to support parent activities to improve academic achievement. Each school is required to hold an annual parent meeting to explain what steps the school is taking to improve performance.
