Anchored In Advocacy event was held on Tuesday, Feb. 9, and Interim Superintendent Dwight Jones attended and shared how all DPS schools are working on their Black Excellence Plans. The event also included engaging activities such as Family Reading Circles hosted by our Black Dads Story Time and Book Club, Family Learning Circles with the College and Career Success team and our very own guest student leaders speaking about their podcasts, Know Justice Know Peace from DMLK, along with the Young African American and Latinx Leaders. We received and celebrated our 49 parent and 86 student nominations!
